Gabourey Sidibe is officially a mother of two!

The Oscar nominee and her husband Brandon Frankel shared they welcomed their twins, a girl and a boy named Maya and Cooper in April.

“Brandon always wanted to name a son Cooper, so we can call him ‘Coop,’” Gabourey told The Shade Room June 6, “and Maya was named shortly before our baby moon to the Mayan Riviera in Mexico. Both twins have traditional West African middle names after members of my family.”

She added, “Cooper will sometimes speak for Maya and alert us that she’s about to spit up. Maya loves her name being sung to her and is the queen of comedic timing, and Cooper loves his sleep and has the funniest facial expressions. They both love cuddling with Mom and Dad.”

This update comes almost four months after Sibide confirmed she was expecting twins with a baby bump pic on social media, writing in the caption … “Double the babies, double the cats, double the fun.”

Sidibe, renowned for her Oscar-nominated role in “Precious” and notable television appearances in “Empire” and “American Horror Story,” had previously disclosed her marriage to Frankel in December 2022.

She candidly shared the details during an appearance on “Live with Kelly and Ryan,” revealing that they tied the knot in a low-key ceremony at their kitchen table in 2021. Reflecting on their whirlwind romance, she shared, “We got engaged in 2020, we got married like four months later.”
