Gabrielle Union is speaking out about her unique parenting style.
Gabrielle Union and her husband Dwyane Wade welcomed their baby girl into the world, a year ago. As we know, the “one size fits all” rule does not apply to parenthood. Gabrielle expresses that, “Just because you grew up one way doesn’t mean you have to repeat everything you were taught.”
She continued, “It’s okay to acknowledge that perhaps there’s a better, more loving, more compassionate way of raising kids than in previous generations. It’s okay to lead with love. It’s okay if your children aren’t exactly like you. It’s okay to nurture your child’s interest, even if those things don’t interest you. It’s okay to evolve your thinking. It’s okay to not live in fear or judgment. There are no perfect parents or perfect children, so just breathe and do your best and lead with love and acceptance.”
Gabrielle is also raising Dwyane’s two sons, who comes from previous relationships.
