Congratulations to Gladys Knight!
On Sunday, Dec. 4th, she was among a list of recipients during the 45th annual Kennedy Center Honors to receive this award for her contributions to the arts. George Clooney, who was also a recipient for the night, spoke about being a big fan of Gladys Knight and receiving their medallions.
“Gladys got up and sang and, you know, just a cappella started to sing… The only thing that was terrible was that I had to follow. So there’s 300 people in the room going, this is transcendent – and I’m like ‘God, this is horrible! I have to follow Gladys Knight!’”
