Halle Bailey has addressed allegations made by her ex-boyfriend, DDG, concerning her mental health amid their ongoing custody dispute over their 17-month-old son, Halo.
In a court declaration filed on June 5, Bailey stated that DDG has “exaggerated, lied and misconstrued” her mental health history. She acknowledged past struggles with anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts but emphasized that these episodes occurred in 2022 and 2023 during periods of relationship turmoil.
Bailey asserted that she has been proactive in seeking treatment and remains fully capable as a parent. She noted that DDG only raised concerns about her mental health after she filed for custody, suggesting that his allegations are retaliatory.
Previously, in May, Bailey was granted temporary sole legal and physical custody of Halo following her allegations of physical and emotional abuse by DDG. She also obtained a temporary restraining order requiring DDG to stay at least 100 yards away from her and their son. This order expired on June 4.
On June 4, DDG filed an emergency motion seeking to prevent Bailey from taking Halo on an international trip to Italy, citing concerns over her mental health and alleging that she posed a risk to their child. He also sought a restraining order against her. However, a judge denied both requests, allowing Bailey to proceed with her travel plans.
