Harry Styles Named The New ‘King of Pop’ By Rolling Stone UK + Michael Jackson’s Nephew Responds

Pop singer Harry Styles has been named the new “King of Pop” by Rolling Stone UK in their October/November issue.

Since the cover was posted on social media, many users did not like that the fact that Styles received the new title that belongs to Michael Jackson. One person in particular to respond was Jackson’s own nephew, Taj Jackson.

“There is no new King of Pop. You don’t own the title @RollingStone, and you didn’t earn it, my uncle did,” Taj wrote on his Twitter account. “Decades of dedication and sacrifice. The title has been retired. No disrespect to @Harry_Styles, he’s mega talented. Give him his own unique title.”

Other users chimed in and gave their own opinions about the situation. See what they had to say about it.

This news comes days before what would have been Michael Jackson’s 64th birthday. Do you think that the title “King of Pop” should be retired?
