Harvey Weinstein has been sentenced to 23 years in prison.
The movie executive has been found guilty of rape and felony sex crimes, reported on TMZ. Weinstein was convicted of raping a woman in a hotel room back in February of 2013, as well as forcibly performing oral sex on another woman in 2006.
Harvey Weinstein was just sentenced to 23 years in prison. He is a rapist and a sexual predator and the Manhattan DA had categorical evidence of crimes he committed YEARS ago and declined to prosecute him. He has finally been held accountable for his actions.

During court this morning, Weinstein did make a brief statement. “I have great remorse for all of you. I have great remorse for all women,” said Weinstein. “If I had to do a lot of things over I would care less about movies and more about my children and my family. I really feel remorse for this situation. I feel it deeply in my heart.” He also expressed he was “very confused” about the sentencing.
Weinstein’s lawyers reportedly “begged for mercy” earlier this week, asking the judge to sentence him to 5 years because he has no prior criminal record, his career is taking a downward spiral, as well as his health. Yet, he was still facing a 29-year sentence after being convicted by a jury last month of “Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree and Rape in the Third Degree.”
As of now, he will serve all his time.
