Circle of Sisters is our annual 12-hour party that keeps the Tri-state area on their feet—from sun up to sun down. This year, the turn up was no different.
After a day of shopping, learning, dancing, and more, hundreds of loving and loyal WBLS listeners lined up to get inside Jacob Javits’ main hall to praise the night away with the headliners of this year’s Gospel Explosion: Yolanda Adams, Anthony Brown, Jonathan Nelson, and Bishop Hezekiah Walker. Pastor Donnie McClurkin joined WLIB personalities Liz Black and Neicy Tribbett as they hosted a very spirit-filled event.
Before artist Jonathan Nelson kicked things off, the chart-topper was backstage celebrating and laughing the night with your favorite artists.
When Anthony Brown took the spotlight, he brought the crowd to their feet, and reminded everyone to bask in their blessings and keep winning.
Yolanda Adams moved the crowd with her soulful vocals as she delivered a powerful message: “Whatever you’re going through is designed for you to make it through.”
Bishop Hezekiah Walker closed out the night as he encouraged all attendees to take back whatever the devil has stolen from them.
This Gospel Explosion was one for the books. If you weren’t there, don’t worry because we’re doing it all again next year.
