Hulk Hogan, WWE Hall Of Famer, Dead At 71

Hulk Hogan has died at 71 years old. 

According to reports, paramedics were called to the WWE Hall of Famer’s home in Clearwater, Florida, regarding a “cardiac arrest.” Many police cars and EMTs were outside of Hogan’s home, where he was carried out on a stretcher and into an ambulance. 

His death comes after his wife, Sky, shut down rumors of the wrestling legend being in a coma, stating that his “heart was strong” as he was recovering from surgeries. 

Hulk Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, was a professional wrestler with a career spanning over four decades. During his wrestling career, Hulk Hogan was the face of WWE, ushering in a new generation of wrestling fans with the popularity of “Hulkamania,” which turned into a global phenomenon.

During his time with the WWE, Hogan was a 12-time World Champion. He held the WWE Championship six times as well as the WCW World Championship six times. Hogan also starred in a few movies, including “Rocky III” as Thunderclips. 

Hulk Hogan would later be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice. WWE released a statement about his passing: “WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away. One of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans.”
