Isabella Strahan, daughter of Michael Strahan, is opening up to her fans about life after her long battle with brain cancer.
On Sept. 16, the 20-year-old internet personality posted a TikTok video with a compilation of clips from her lengthy treatment journey. In the video, Isabella is seen lying in a hospital bed, relearning how to walk and the aftermath of her freshly shaved head.
It then cuts to clips of her going for a run, posing on a mountain top and showing off her first modeling gig post-recovery.
“Living the life I fought for ❤️🩹 #recovery #cancer” she captioned the post, pairing the video with the song “The Journey” by H.E.R.
Isabella was initially diagnosed in October 2023 and underwent emergency surgery to remove a large medulloblastoma — a type of malignant tumor — in her cerebellum. She went through six weeks of radiation, four rounds of chemotherapy and three brain surgeries before announcing in July 2024 that she was cancer-free.
The University of Southern California student said she “didn’t notice anything was off” about her health until early October 2023, when she started experiencing headaches and nausea.
After throwing up blood one day, she got a full checkup and MRI scan at the urging of her dad. The results showed medulloblastoma, a malignant brain tumor found in children.
Later that month, she underwent brain surgery to remove the mass.
October will mark two-years since Isabella’s life-changing diagnosis and her 21st birthday, which she shares with twin sister Sophia Strahan.
