Iyanla Vanzant’s Show ‘Iyanla: Fix My Life’ Will End This Spring

For ten years, Iyanla Vanzant has been helping people get their lives back on track on her show, Iyanla: Fix My Life, and after eight seasons, the show is coming to an end.

The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) made the official announcement that the award-winning series will start its final season on Saturday, April 10th at 9 PM. This season, fans will get to see an intervention with famed actress LisaRaye McCoy. 

This season will also feature guests dealing with co-dependency and miscommunication while in quarantine, as well as a single father trying to fix his sons’ bad behavior after losing their mother.

The series will end with a 2-hour farewell episode that will include some of the show’s most memorable moments and some never-before-seen footage. As reported by Essence, Oprah makes a statement about Vanzant’s impact. 

“The minute Iyanla stepped onto the stage of The Oprah Show,  I knew she had a talent that was meant to be shared and I am glad that she created the perfect vehicle to provide OWN viewers with her healing magic.” 

She continued, Sunsetting the series is bittersweet. I’m very thankful for her and the work she does and look forward to what unfolds next from her gift of teaching people to be better versions of themselves.”

Iyanla Vanzant also made a statement about her work. “In my heart of hearts, I believe that Fix My Life has contributed to the creation of a new genre of television programming, where people get to speak and see how to address issues that have been taboo.” 

She continued, My prayer is that Fix My Life will be standard for others who have the vision and courage to bring personal healing work to the television screen.”
