Rapper Ja Rule on Monday signaled he may soon drop a documentary focusing on what he describes as the “controversial past” of fellow rapper 50 Cent. The announcement comes amid renewed tension between the two longtime rivals following the release of a high-profile docuseries.

Feud Revived in Social Media Posts

On X (formerly Twitter), Ja Rule lashed out at 50 Cent after the latter produced the four-part series Sean Combs: The Reckoning, which spotlights a string of serious allegations against music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.

“You rat, always have been, always will be a fu**ing RAT… Used car salesman suit-wearing…” Ja Rule wrote in a post earlier this month. On Dec. 7, he added: “Ngga always telling on somebody… ol dry snitch ass ngga!!!”

Ja Rule accused 50 Cent of hypocrisy: spotlighting the misdeeds of Combs while overlooking his own troubled history. “Let’s be real that n*gga dgaf about the victims we ALL know why he did the doc… Herman’s a cancer to the culture,” he wrote. “If he cares so much then donate the profits to charities for domestic violence.”

He also revisited a 2013 case in which 50 Cent was accused of domestic violence against his then-partner. Though 50 Cent pleaded no contest to a vandalism charge and avoided trial on the domestic violence allegations, Ja Rule claimed the matter still raised serious doubts about 50 Cent’s credibility.

A Warning to Fans

In a Dec. 8 post, Ja Rule appeared to hint at an upcoming film, writing that there is “a lot to unpack” regarding 50 Cent’s past. He shared screenshots of past controversies involving 50 Cent, suggesting that the documentary would delve into them in detail.

He did not provide a release date or further details. But the timing and tone imply this new project could reignite one of hip-hop’s longest — and most bitter — rivalries. Music observers say fans should expect more sharp words, and possibly previously unseen material aimed at reframing public perception of 50 Cent.
