Ja Rule was livin’ it up at his daughter, Brittney Atkins’, wedding.
The proud father could be seen in a clip walking Brittney, 30, down the aisle. The duo smiled and laughed as they walked before Ja Rule passed her off to his son-in-law, Tiki.
“First I want to say congratulations to the newlyweds,” he said on the mic during the reception. “This is an amazing moment. We are all here to bless this union with love and longevity and all the good things that come with marriage.”
After his speech, the dad and daughter shared a dance together.
In 2023, Brittney announced her engagement on Instagram with a black-and-white video of the beach proposal. The bride-to-be could be seen walking up to Tiki on the beach and hugging him before he got down on one knee. She gave him an excited “yes” before the pair shared another kiss and a hug.
She captioned the video, “ISSA WIFE 🥺🥰🥂.”
The couple shared a joint post on Instagram in July 2024 in which they revealed that “the wedding is in 2025.”
During an interview with People, Ja Rule shared his approval for his new son-in-law. “You know as fathers, it’s a weird thing, right?”he explained. “Because you go through this phase where [you want] nobody to touch your daughter. No man. ‘Nobody get my daughter.’ “
“But there also comes a time where you’re like, ‘Okay, I want her to find her guy and be happy,’ ” the Scary Movie 3 star continued. “[Tiki’s] a great guy. He’s a great guy.”
The rapper and actor shares three kids with his wife of 23 years, Aisha Atkins: Brittney, Jeffrey Jr. and Jordan. Some of the family, including Brittney and Jeffrey Jr. appeared on WE tv’s Growing Up Hip: Hop New York in 2019.
