Comedian and actress Jasmin Brown revealed she is expecting her second child with former NFL quarterback Cam Newton. The announcement came via an Instagram post celebrating Mother’s Day. Brown shared a photo of herself cradling her baby bump, captioned: “Feeling ALL the Love, kicks and elbows 🤣🥰 cheers to our growing tribe. #happymothersday” .
This child will be the couple’s second together, following the birth of their daughter in March 2024. Newton, 36, is already a father to eight children from previous relationships. He shares four children with ex-girlfriend Kia Proctor: sons Chosen Sebastian, Camidas Swain, Cashmere Saint, and daughter Sovereign-Dior Cambella. Newton also co-parents Proctor’s daughter, Shakira, from a previous relationship. Additionally, he has a son, Caesar, with LaReina Shaw, and helps raise her son, Jaden.
Newton Embraces Expanding Family
Newton has previously expressed his openness to having more children. In a February 2025 interview with PEOPLE, he stated, “Did I tell you I want more?” He added, “I don’t know, wherever much that God gives me. But jokingly, and not jokingly, [my kids] really give me my purpose… They’re my refuge. They’re my peace. They’re my encouragement.”
Brown, 35, emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive environment during pregnancy. In an Instagram Story, she wrote, “I truly believe my daughter is so happy because I was a HAPPY pregnant woman and I am a HAPPY mother! I didn’t feed into the judgement or negativity. (Still don’t).”
