Rap star Jeezy has announced his first Las Vegas residency, bringing his acclaimed TM:101 Live orchestral experience to the Strip this fall and winter. The two-leg show will unfold at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, featuring a full 101-piece orchestra. That’s a dramatic increase from the 26-piece ensemble Jeezy used on earlier tour dates.

The first set of shows, titled TM:101 Live – The Masquerade, runs Oct. 31 and Nov. 1. The second leg, TM:101 Live – The Nutcracker, is scheduled for Dec. 19 and Dec. 21. Performances will include dramatic stage elements, seasonal theming and what Jeezy says will be an immersive orchestral production.

Alongside the residency announcement, Jeezy revealed that he and DJ Drama will release a new project titled Still Snowin’ on Sept. 28, which also happens to be his birthday. He described it as “one of my favorite projects ever.” The two have worked together before on projects such as SNOFALL, and their collaboration continues to garner anticipation.

Jeezy made it clear this residency means to push boundaries. “I think your art, in music, whatever your contribution is, it should grow with you. You gotta think big. You gotta think colossal,” he said. He added, “I don’t know, to date, anyone that’s gone to Vegas with a 101-piece orchestra, so that’s something I wanted to do first.”

Presales for the residency begin Sept. 17, with general ticket sales starting Sept. 19. DJ Ace and DJ Drama will provide DJ sets during the shows, while musical direction will come from veterans including Adam Blackstone. Jeezy has described the stage production as combining the energy of hip hop with the sweep of orchestral arrangements.
