Jeezy says that his ex Jeannie Mai knew about the divorce filing before it became public knowledge.
These claims come after Mai appeared on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” where she talked about how she found out about Jeezy filing for divorce. The former talk show host said that she was “unaware that her marriage was ending,” and that she was “gutted” by the news.
However, a source close to the Atlanta rapper says that he did not file for divorce without her knowledge and said that she was fully aware of it. Before the public found out about the divorce, Jeezy revealed that they had gone to marriage counseling to try to fix things before calling it quits.
“The clear signs of their uncoupling were long established and manifesting right before their eyes,” a source close to Jeezy stated. Mai recently accused her soon-to-be ex-husband of cheating during their marriage, which will violate their prenup. She has since requested compensation due to the “infidelity clause” in their premarital agreement.
Jeezy’s legal team has denied the claims and said, “Any claim of infidelity on Mr. Jenkins’ behalf are 100 percent false and we have no further statements at this time.” Jeezy also filed a motion to have a judge help with their ongoing custody schedule. In the motion, he called Mai a gatekeeper of their one-year-old daughter, Monaco, saying that visitations have become increasingly difficult.
