Jessie and D’Lila Combs, the 18-year-old twin daughters of Sean “Diddy” Combs and the late Kim Porter, have announced they will not be attending college this fall. The twins shared their decision during a recent Instagram Live session, stating, “We’ve decided to take a different path and focus on our careers in fashion and entertainment.”
The announcement comes amid their father’s ongoing legal troubles, including a sex-trafficking trial in New York. Despite the family’s challenges, the twins have remained active in their pursuits. Earlier this year, they walked in the Dolce & Gabbana runway show in Venice, Italy, and participated in a national cheerleading competition at Disneyland, where their team took home the championship trophy.
A Different Path
While their sister Chance Combs was recently accepted into NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts , Jessie and D’Lila are choosing a different route. “College is great, but it’s not for everyone,” they explained. “We want to build our brand and explore opportunities that align with our passions.”
The twins have been building a significant social media presence, with over 765,000 followers on Instagram. They frequently share insights into their lives, fashion choices, and behind-the-scenes moments from events.
Support Amidst Challenges
Despite their father’s legal issues, the twins have shown unwavering support. They attended the opening statements of Diddy’s trial on May 12, dressed in matching black pantsuits . Their presence in court has been both noted and critiqued, with some questioning the decision to have them attend such proceedings.
In a statement shared by their brother Quincy Brown, the family expressed solidarity: “We stand united, supporting you every step of the way. We hold onto the truth, knowing it will prevail.”
As Jessie and D’Lila embark on their post-high school journey, they remain focused on their goals. “This is just the beginning,” they said. “We’re excited for what’s next.”
