In a world surrounded by water, John Legend says it’s never too late to learn how to swim.
The Grammy Award-winning singer revealed on Twitter Monday (Jan. 28) that he hasn’t taken a swimming lesson since he was 5 years old – meaning after more than three decades, he never learned how to swim. But it sounds like all that is about to change.
“I can’t really swim. Today I took my first swim lesson since I was like 5,” he tweeted. “My dad learned in his 60’s so I feel like I’m ahead of schedule.”

It’s good to know that the “Love Me Now” singer has a sense of humor about this insecurity, and Twitter had his back. Many fans thanked Legend for sharing, admitting they too were going through the same experience.
Passing knowledge such a powerful thing it truly goes both ways! Love one Love all

In jest, many asked Legend if his music has all been a lie, referencing his 2013 single, “All of Me,” where he sings, “My head’s under water, but I’m breathing fine/You’re crazy and I’m out of my mind.”
All. Lies. Hahaha https://t.co/ul2toK3N8f
