Over the weekend, actor Jonathan Majors was arrested for an alleged domestic dispute.
Reports state the “Creed III” star was arrested on Saturday after the police received a call from an apartment in Chelsea. NYPD said that the victim had reported being assaulted and suffering from minor head and neck injuries.
Majors is currently facing assault, harassment, and strangulation charges. Priya Chaudhry, Majors’ attorney says that her client is “completely innocent” and claims that he was the actual victim of the altercation.
“We are quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently,” Chaudhry said in a statement.
She also revealed that there will be evidence that will prove that her client is innocent.
“All the evidence proves that Mr. Majors is entirely innocent and did not assault her whatsoever,” Chaudhry added. Jonathan Majors has since been released from police custody, however, two of his ads for the US Army have been pulled.
In a statement released by the Army Enterprise Marketing Office, they said, “While Mr. Majors is innocent until proven guilty, prudence dictates that we pull our ads until the investigation into these allegations is complete.”
