In a recent encounter in West Hollywood, Jonathan Majors opened up about his well-being after being found guilty on two counts of assault in December 2023.
Speaking to TMZ, the actor expressed his reliance on faith.
“God is good, god is great,” he said to the outlet. He highlighted prayer as a tool helping him stay positive in challenging times.
The actor conveyed a positive and relaxed demeanor, emphasizing his reliance on faith and prayer. However, he refrained from discussing future work opportunities, possibly linked to being removed from various Hollywood projects, including Marvel projects.
The guilty verdict was related to an incident in March 2023 involving Majors and his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. The New York jury found Majors guilty on one count of reckless assault in the third degree and a charge of harassment as a violation. Despite being acquitted on other charges, he faces potential sentencing on February 6, with a possible year-long prison term.
Majors’ attorney, Priya Chaudhry, acknowledged the jury’s disbelief in Jabbari’s account but expressed disappointment that they found Majors to be reckless.
“Mr. Majors still has faith in the process and looks forward to fully clearing his name,” Chaudhry shared.
In a separate interview with Good Morning America, Majors discussed the impact of the legal issues on his life, mentioning difficulties and a strained relationship with his daughter. Despite acknowledging the toxicity of the relationship with Jabbari, he denied physically attacking her and expressed optimism about clearing his name.
Jabbari, Majors’ ex-girlfriend, broke her silence on Instagram, expressing gratitude to the domestic violence charity, Sanctuary for Families, which supported her during the trial. The charity also issued a statement, expressing pride in representing Jabbari and emphasizing its commitment to supporting survivors.
