Jussie Smollett has been mum on his arrest and the charges brought against him Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie, but now he’s speaking out and apologizing the cast and crew of Empire.
As of yesterday, Smollett’s case is holding up his co-workers from filming a scene from their FOX hit.
According to TMZ, cast and crew waited on the scandalized actor to begin shooting for at least half-an-hour, and he was noticeably tired when he arrived.
Jussie maintains his innocence, and told his colleagues, “I’m sorry I’ve put you all through this and not answered any calls. I wanted to say I’m sorry and, you know me, I would never do this to any of you, you are my family. I swear to God, I did not do this.”
It’s reported that Smollett was crying and asked to finish filming his scenes later in the day.
