K. Michelle was left in tears after her illegal silicone butt injections started to leak.
In the sneak peek of the new season of “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Michelle shared in a confessional that the incident took place at the 2025 ACM Honors. After standing up, she noticed that the “whole coach was soaking wet.”
“I didn’t feel anything, I was completely numb… I was standing there in a bathroom. Everyone was blow-drying me down. ” Michelle explained. “It was very frantic just to get me on stage to sing. I didn’t know what was going on with my body or my health until I even got back to the room in Nashville.”
At the hospital, Michelle met with a doctor, and she asked, “I’m not dying, am I?”
“No, you have an opening, like where you previously had surgery,” the doctor responded. “It looks like you have an infection.”
The doctor then said to Michelle that she needed a “reconstructive surgery” to clean out and remove any dead tissue that remained.
K. Michelle broke down in tears when the doctor left the room, and she expressed her regret for getting butt injections.
“I hate that I did this to myself,” Michelle said. “ It’s the worst thing I ever did to myself… and I’ve paid for it for years.”
Michelle also admitted that several years ago, she got “illegal silicone injections, trying to overdo it and overextend it or expand it.”
Eventually, Michelle underwent a two-hour surgery to remove the infected tissue in another sneak peek of the season.
Season 17 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta premiered on April 5, 2026. It marks a high-stakes “reboot” era for the franchise following a mixed reception to Season 16. It features the highly anticipated return of Porsha Williams and Phaedra Parks, who are expected to anchor the group.
The cast also includes Drew Sidora, Shamea Morton, Slutty Vegan founder Pinky Cole, and entrepreneur Angela Oakley.
