Karl-Anthony Towns and Jordyn Woods have officially tied the knot.
After Towns proposed on Christmas Eve in 2025, the couple capped off a monumental year—which also saw Towns capture an NBA championship with New York—by tying the knot on August 15, 2026, Page Six reports.
Overlooking the Pacific Ocean at an elegant black-tie affair, Woods stunned in a corseted, strapless lace gown, while Towns wore a classic tuxedo. The intimate oceanfront celebration drew an elite guest list spanning sports and pop culture in a beautiful Malibu ceremony. Kylie Jenner, Timothée Chalamet, Justin and Hailey Bieber, Michael B. Jordan, Jada Pinkett Smith, Jaden Smith, Ben Stiller, Teyana Taylor, and Gayle King were in attendance. Towns’ teammates Jalen Brunson, OG Anunoby, Josh Hart, Miles McBride, and Jose Alvarado were also on hand to celebrate.
From best friends navigating tragedy together to a happily married NBA power couple, their journey stands as a powerful testament to timing, mutual support, and unconditional partnership.
HOW TOWNS AND WOODS MET
Towns and Woods initially crossed paths through mutual acquaintances, building a close two-and-a-half-year bond before their dynamic shifted romantically in 2020. Their connection deepened through shared grief and profound vulnerability. Having lost her father, John Woods, in 2017, Jordyn became an indispensable anchor for the NBA star when his mother, Jacqueline Cruz-Towns, tragically passed away from COVID-19 complications in April 2020.
Through injuries, a high-profile trade from Minnesota to the New York Knicks, and intense media scrutiny, Woods remained a constant courtside presence. Towns publicly credited her with grounding him during his lowest points.
Guests were given commemorative “Married in 5” hoodies, a clever nod to the Knicks’ Game 5 championship clincher. Their journey from best friends navigating grief to an iconic power couple celebrates a resilient, unwavering partnership built to withstand the spotlight.
