She and her mother talked on the phone practically every morning. They talked about family matters, and the weather, but most importantly, they talked about God’s Word to them for that day – about what they were reading in the scriptures. They prayed together; sometimes even sang old hymns together.
Are you chatting with someone consistently about God and his Word? There are special blessings for those who do. Listen to what Malachi 3: 16-17says…
“Then they that feared the Lord spoke often one to another; and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord; and that thought upon his name.
And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of host, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spares his own son that serves him.” What a blessing!
So keep on talking about God and his Word with your family and friends. Talk about his wonderful works to the children of men. God is listening, and he will not forget your love and praises towards him. He will remember and he will reward.
