Kehlani’s long and arduous fight for her children has finally concluded.

In a recent interview, Kehlani revealed that they were granted full custody of their child, Adeya Nomi Parrish Young-White. The judge’s ruling affirmed their role as the child’s primary caregiver.

“I have full custody,” Kehlani said of their much-publicized legal battle. They also shared that they have no contact with her ex, Javaughn Young-White.

Kehlani detailed how they struggled with seeing their child’s name attached to false allegations.

“I can bear anything attached to my name. It might hurt. I might throw a little bit of a fit about it, but I’m an adult. I can bear that,” Kehlani said. “When you see your child’s name attached to these things, your child’s photo next to certain words and certain verbiage, that’s a bit of a heartbreaker.”

“I’ve been silent. And I’ve taken the public beating,” they wrote. “I’ve been addressing all of these things where I should, in COURT. I’ve sat there and watched the public only have access to ONE SIDE of things. But THIS is where I absolutely draw the line.”

One of the claims that Young-White made was that Kehlani was a part of a cult.

Young-White wrote an Instagram post that TMZ took his words out of context.

“I never said that I think Santeria is a sex cult. Nor did I say that my daughter is in a sex cult,” he wrote. “That’s factually incorrect and I think it’s disgusting that TMZ would exploit a child’s image like that. Further, I have not been made aware of any court-ordered mediation as of the writing of this, per the account of TM. Personally, I would love for TMZ to justify to me, the father, how they came up with this narrative.”

Kehlani described the ordeal as a “tough situation.”

“Ultimately, the claims were false. It wasn’t true. He backtracked a lot,” Kehlani said.
