Our girl Keke Palmer has been announced as the 2020 Video Music Awards host on August 30. With a little help from True Jackson, the fictional character she played on Nickelodeon show True Jackson from 2008 to 2011, Palmer shares, “True, I’m hosting the MTV Video Music Awards!”
Bruce Gillmer, President of Music, Music Talent, Programming & Events for ViacomCBS Media Networks released a statement:
“We’re thrilled to have the multi-talented Keke Palmer as this year’s VMAs host. Keke is an energetic force and a quadruple threat with unmatched comedic wit who will make this year’s show truly unforgettable.”
Palmer took to Twitter share her excitement:
“❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ DREAMS COME TRUE!” she wrote on Twitter, sharing the announcement.
The 2020 MTV VMAs will air live on Aug. 30 at 8 p.m. ET.
