Kel Mitchell has confirmed that “Good Burger 3” is happening!
The news of the third installment comes two years after Good Burger 2 was released on Paramount Plus. Mitchell broke the news while at 90s Con on Friday, March 28. “So, here’s the thing- we teased it,” he said to the crowd. “At the end of Good Burger 2, I said, ‘We’re gonna to space. We’re going to Fast and Furious this thing.”
He continued, “Me and Kenan actually sat down and talked about the script for part three, alright, so it’s going to go down. We’ve got to make sure it’s right, just like how Good Burger 2 was. We’re not gonna make you guys wait over 15 years.”
Mitchell also hinted that a revival of the Kenan & Kel show may be in the works as well, with their characters returning as fathers. In Good Burger 2, Dexter Reed, played by Thompson, and Ed, played by Mitchell, reunite but are threatened with being taken over by another restaurant, Mega Good Burger.
Good Burger originated in 1997, based on an All That sketch, which Mitchell and Thompson played while teenagers. This news comes after Jan Schwieterman, who played the villain Kurt Bozwell in the first movie, passed away at 52 after battling stage 4 cancer.
