Kenan Thompson is slated to host the 74th Emmy Awards Live! From the Microsoft Theater.
Thompson expressed his gratitude in a statement .“Being a part of this incredible evening where we honor the best of the television community is ridiculously exciting, and to do it on NBC – my longtime network family – makes it even more special.”
The Saturday Night Live vet himself is a six-time Emmy Award nominee. Thompson joined the cast of Saturday Night Live in 2003 and has now completed 19 seasons on the iconic late-night series as the longest-running cast member.
We previously reported that Thompson will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, August 11th.

Thompson began his acting career 28 years ago on The Mighty Ducks and has since been featured in 90s classics including but not limited to Sister, Sister, Good Burger, The Steve Harvey Show, Cousin Skeeter.
This December, NBC will air “Kenan” an original comedy series featuring holiday-inspired episodes.

The 2022 Emmy Awards will air on September 12.
