Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore has been ordered to pay more than $80,000 in unpaid rent and utilities tied to her Atlanta hair spa.
Per TMZ, a Georgia judge ordered the reality star’s company, Moore Vision Media, to pay $87,976 in rent. The total is a combination of the $43,988 that was due in February and another $43,988.67 by March.
The judge then ordered Moore’s company to pay nearly $5,500 a month in rent. This requirement remains in place until the company either vacates the property or the matter is otherwise resolved.
On Season 16 of the Bravo reality show, fans watched Moore open the hair spa. Since the 2024 grand opening, the hair spa has seen public battles between Moore and her landlord over payment.
Moore’s landlord previously accused her of owing $44k in rent, dating back to December 2024, with the amount climbing each day. Moore’s lawyers tried to dispute the claim, but unfortunately, things didn’t go in her favor.
Moore and her legal team accused the landlord of the location, Northland Chamblee LLC, of failing to make renovations. Moore argued that she had to use her own money to transform the space into what we saw on TV.
At the time, Northland Chamblee LLC, alleged that the business stopped paying rent in December 2024. The lawsuit also included claims regarding unpaid utilities under the terms of the lease agreement.
The landlord has requested posession of the propert but the court has not ruled on that specific request. The case remains active.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta returns to Bravo on Sunday, April 5, at 8/7c.
