Kevin Hart had much to say about Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s choice of clothing for the Met Gala.

At the event, Johnson wore a custom Thom Browne ensemble featuring a structured black coat with intricate, one-of-a-kind 3D floral embroidery on the back. To top it all off, he paired the coat with a traditional-inspired wrap skirt (or “lava-lava”) and boots, paying homage to his Samoan heritage.

Hart took some shots at his friend and frequent film collaborator.

“He did look like a f**king idiot at the Met Gala,” Hart said in an interview with “Extra.”

“No, I’m joking. Big fella, I love the fact you took a risk, man,” Hart explained. “And I love to see you in that space. Your first Met Gala, you know, I’m a champion, you no matter what. You’re my brother. I’ll call you a f**king idiot, but I won’t let anybody else do it. You’re my guy.”

Hart also spoke about the finale of “Funny AF,”  his Netflix comedy competition show.

The comedy legend lauded Ron Taylor, the winner of the show.

“Ron deserved it,” Hart explained. “He had a phenomenal set tonight.”

Kevin spoke about “wanting to use the show to find the next voice in comedy and said none of the top four dropped the ball.

Hart explained, “The whole reason behind the series was to find the next face, the next voice in the space of comedy that could give America new energy, a new space of understanding for the generation of today.”

For Hart, he’s set to star in the upcoming Netflix action-comedy 72 Hours, scheduled for release on July 24, 2026. Directed by Tim Story (Ride Along), the film follows Joe (Hart), a married father of three who accidentally gets added to an email chain for a wild bachelor party in Miami intended for a group of twenty-somethings.
