While making promo runs, Kim Kardashian stopped by “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Monday to promote the 15th season of her show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
During the show, Kimmel asked her about her visit to the White House and Alice Marie Johnson’s release. Johnson was “charged for participating in a drug trafficking and money laundering operation in 1993. She was sentenced to life and has served 20+ years.
Kim learned about Johnson’s story while browsing on Twitter when she decided to help her in any way she can. The reality star reached out to the President because she knew he was the only person who can make this change.
“”Well I knew it was only one person in power who could make this change and get this woman out of prison who was serving a life sentence and so I went for it.”

Following her meeting with Trump it took about a week to commute Johnson’s sentence. When Kim was asked about President Trump she says,
“You know I have nothing bad to say about the president he has done something amazing. I’m very focused and I don’t agree with everything either and I had no idea what to expect going in there. I was just like look imma be focused and it really turned my ID around in this category.” Watch the interview here:
