Kim Kardashian recently shared how Wesley Snipes came to her rescue as a teenager.
Appearing with her sister Khloé Kardashian on the Khloé in Wonderland podcast, she recalled how Snipes helped her. At the time, she was about 17, and she traveled to New York with friends. All of a sudden, she found herself separated from her friends.
“I went to New York once before with my dad. But never like on the party scene or anything. So, we were at this club called Life — I remember it was like the place to be,” Kim said.
She also noted that her friend’s plans changed later that night.
“We were at a club. And then everyone’s like, ‘Oh my gosh, let’s go back to our friend’s house for a party. So my friend Sarah Howard, she wrote on my hand her dad’s address on my hand. She was like, ‘If we lose each other, this is the address,” Kim explained.
“Then [Sarah] hands me a $20 bill because we were sharing a purse. She was like, ‘Here’s for a cab in case you like, in case we can’t find each other, Kim said
Kim soon realized she was alone and instantly became terrified.
“I don’t really know where anyone went at one point, and everyone. I think I had fallen asleep,”Kim said. She recalled that she had dinner with her friends at 11 p.m. and the club opened at 1 a.m. “I wasn’t drinking. I definitely knew what was going on.”
“So, at the end of the night, it’s like 5 a.m. We’re at this house party, and no one to be found. [l] cannot find anyone. I don’t have my money. — realize my $20 is gone. All I have is this address,” she continued
As she pondered her next move, Kim ran into Snipes on her way out of the building.
“I’m walking out, and I don’t know if Wesley Snipes lived in the building. But he was there,” she said, “We were passing each other, and I was like, ‘Hi, sir. … I’m so sorry to interrupt your night, but do you think you can give me a ride home?”
Snipes agreed, but said that the two must stop for breakfast. Kim admitted she was affraid but Snipes did not have any “creepy vibes.”
Snipes Gave Kardashian Advice
Kim said Snipes apparently began “schooling me like he’s my father.”
“I don’t know how old you are, but you’re too young to be out this late. You’re too young to be at parties …
Snipes went on: You shouldn’t be out at the clubs. And you shouldn’t be at these things. I’m going to take you home. And I never want to see you out at these things until you’re old enough.”
“I’ve never seen him again,” Kim shared.
She added, “He saved my life. He schooled the shit out of me. Scared me to death [about] being at club because [after] I’m like, ‘Oh, I’ll never be at a club again.’”
