King Harris, son of rapper T.I., has been arrested in Georgia.

According to reports, Harris was arrested in Dunwoody and taken to Pickens County Jail on a bench warrant after failing to appear in court. In August 2022, he was charged with driving with a suspended license, driving under the influence of drugs, and for speeding.

His charges led to an arraignment and a bench warrant in September. The young rapper was originally taken to DeKalb County before he was moved to Pickens, where the warrant was issued.

Investigators said that Harris pulled out of a gas station and nearly hit the police officers that were also parked there. They would immediately pull the 19-year-old over. Officers claim that they smelled marijuana coming from the car. Once they ran his name through their system, they saw he had a warrant out for his arrest.

The arresting officer said, “I informed Mr. Harris that I would need to speak with him outside and opened the driver-side door. Mr. Harris was cooperative, and I removed the firearm from his hip with no issue. I then had Mr. Harris step out of the vehicle and I detained him by placing handcuffs on him. I escorted Mr. Harris to my patrol vehicle, conducted a pat down, and placed him into the rear of my vehicle.”

Two other people were also in the car with Harris at the time of his arrest. They were asked to exit the vehicle where two small bags of marijuana were found. One of them were cited for marijuana possession but not arrested.

This news comes after it was reported that he is expecting his first child.
