In this week’s Season 7 premiere of The Real Housewives of Miami, Larsa Pippen opened up about a personal turning point. She revealed her four children played a major role in her decision to give up her tumultuous relationship with Marcus Jordan.
Seated beside her mother, Larsa described how her kids begged her.
“’Stop getting back together and breaking up, and just get off the ride,’” she said they begged.
That plea struck a chord. Larsa admitted in the episode, “That’s when I was like, I need to get away from the situation – my kids think that it’s not good for me.”
She acknowledged the relationship had deep emotional cost. “It was not a good situation for me and my family,” she said.
Seeing Red Flags Too Late
Originally, the pair began dating in early 2023. Their constant breaking up and making up wore Larsa down.
“We went from really being in love… to me seeing a side of him that didn’t really align with who I am,” she recalled.
Larsa also expressed frustration over Marcus’s behavior in public life. She said he’d often stay in nightclubs long after everyone else had left.
Their final breakup occurred in July 2024 and unleashed a wave of drama. Larsa described feeling embarrassed and emotionally exhausted. “I’m done, I just want to go to bed… It’s so embarrassing,” she confessed, tearfully.
She also revealed that Marcus retaliated with hurtful messages toward her and even reached out to her friends. “He’d send me really bad messages and … it was just bad.”
Unfortunately, this split also affected her friendship with cast member Lisa Hochstein, largely because Lisa’s partner continued communicating with Marcus. Larsa said this felt like a betrayal when she was trying to move forward.
Moving Forward
Larsa has since embraced her self-worth and focused on healing. She told The Post she took a year off dating. “I just worked on Date.com… spending time with my kids, my friends.”
The experience taught her to recognize red flags earlier. “When you start seeing red flags early… see them!” she advised viewers in the premiere.
Today, she’s dating former pro basketball player Jeff Coby. She described their bond as calm, balanced, and centered on shared family values.
