Actress Lauren London shares a touching tribute to her late partner, rapper Nipsey Hussle.
On the 5th anniversary of his death, the “You People” actress wrote on social media, “If you know me, you know March is always tough for me. 31 days of holding my breath. This day decided to fal on Easter Sunday this 2024. Interesting… considering your name #GodWillRise. Energy never dies. I love you. Eternal.”
On March 31st, 2019, Nispey Hussle was gunned down outside of his store, Marathon Clothing Store. Hussle’s killer, Eric Holder Jr., was convicted and sentenced to 60 years to life in prison. In another interview, London said, “I have to wake up with the intention of this every day because there are days I don’t want to, and I’m like angry about it. And that’s what healing is. It is up and down, side to side, all over the place. You know what I mean? And with each new level, there’s something else.”
Nipsey Hussle’s family has plans to open another Marathon Clothing Store No. 2 in his honor. The original store is closed but continues to be a Memorial site for the late rapper. Lauren London and Nipsey Hussle share a 5 year old son together, Kross.
