Singer Lionel Richie may be in some hot water with his fans. The singer-songwriter recently canceled his sold-out show at Madison Square Garden over the weekend as the show was running an hour late.

Richie took to Twitter to announce the cancellation. “Due to severe weather and being unable to land in the NY and surrounding areas, I’m unable to make it to the show tonight,” the singer tweeted. “I’m so bummed. We are rescheduling the show to Monday, Aug 14. Can’t wait to perform for you all. Tickets for tonight’s show are valid for the show on Monday.”

According to Deadline, Earth, Wind and Fire, were supposed to also perform that night alongside Richie. However, the band is scheduled to play a show at the Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater in Bridgeport, Connecticut Monday. The cancellation left 20,000 fans unable to enjoy their night with the singer, some coming from out of town.
