LisaRaye McCoy took to Facebook Live to open up about her last relationship and dating. The actress was recently on ABC’s ‘”The Proposal” where she accepted an engagement ring from Anthony Bryant. Following their big announcement, the two later called off the engagement.
McCoy explains why the two decided to go their separate ways. She also discussed her fears of dating in her forties.
About the show “The Proposal”:
“Don’t be fooled, this show is called “The Proposal”; that he put a ring on my finger, and I said, “Yes, I do.” What “yes, I do” was – what the premise of the show was is: meet somebody that you caould possibly leave this stage and get to know, and if a marriage and engagement happens, then we’re all for it. If it doesn’t happen, then you’ve gotta go onto the next.”

Realizing that she was not compatible with Anthony:
“Once we had a discussion and realize we weren’t compatible, and there was no chemistry between us, then we were like, “Yeah, I think we’d be better off as friends.”
The type of love she is looking for:
“One things for sure: I might be looking for my father. And most women are. You know what I mean? I was definitely a daddy’s girl, and I was definitely spoiled.. I’m looking for a position of my father – somebody that’s going to look at me, and love me, and cherish me and take care of me.”
