Lizzo is opening up about her sex life.
Appearing on the Friends Keep Secrets podcast, Lizzon revealed that she didn’t lose her virginity until she was in her 30s.
“I was a late bloomer. I lied about it for a long time,” Lizzo told co-host, Benny Blanco.
Lizzo went on to say that she lost her virginity when she won a Grammy in 2020, which was a promise she made to herself.
“Isn’t that crazy?” she asked. “I wasn’t even thinking about it… I promised myself when I was younger that I wouldn’t have sex until I won a Grammy.”
Co-host Lil Dicky asked if she would have had sex if she had never won a Grammy.
Lizzo joked that her first time “was not the night of the Grammys,” it happened soon after.
“I feel a weight off of my chest right now,” she said. “It was so embarrassing. I was in a friend group of girls. We were all girling one night, and it was like, ‘Wait, Lizzo, are you a virgin?’”
“I remember it was so embarrassing. I said, ‘I love the D.’ I said that,” she continued. “And it held me over for a little while.”
Lizzo also revealed she had a “terrible” first kiss at the age of 21.
“Ya’ll have no idea. It was religious for me too,” Lizzo explained. “Like, when we were teenagers at my church, we all made a pact that we wouldn’t do anything before marriage. And then, I was just so scared. Like, nobody wanted to kiss me.”
“It was a New Year’s Eve thing, and he forced it on me. I was really mad, and I was like, ‘My first kiss is ruined.’ I was so mad,” Lizzo added.
Since 2022, Lizzo has been in a relationship with Myke Wright.
“I am very much in love with Myke. 100 percent,” Lizzo said on The Howard Stern Show. “There’s nobody else I’m going to be with for the rest of my life.”
