Lord Jamar speaks on Diddy’s early days in the music industry.
According to reports, the rapper said that Diddy was released from Uptown Records because of his sexuality and not his lack of ambition. “He got caught in a precarious act, doing something real baby oil-lish in the office,” he said while hinting at an incident involving a man.
Lamar didn’t reveal the name of the alleged man but he did say that the media mogul was a part of the “Gay Mafia” within the industry and said that he is one of the “heads of the family.” In a 2006 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Diddy spoke about being terminated from the record label in 1993.
“I was very passionate, and I didn’t understand protocol or workplace politics, so I got fired because there can’t be two kings in one castle,” he said. After being let go from Uptown Records, Diddy went on to create Bad Boy Records.
These new allegations come while Diddy is currently in custody at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Dentention Center. He is facing charges of rackeeteering, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution. Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all counts.
