After ten years of being a part of the Basketball Wives franchise, Malaysia Pargo has decided to go separate ways from the show.
During the recent episode of the show, Pargo was seen speaking with fellow castmates, Jackie Christie and DJ Duffey when she dropped the bombshell news.
The conversation started with Jackie asking Malaysia if she was mad at her. “Are you mad at me? Do you feel that I did something like to me Jennifer say the dumb s*** she said? Let’s just keep it 100.”
Malaysia answered, “I’m not mad at you because I know who you are and I know that you do force the issue but I wish you wouldn’t have because I feel like you got to respect people’s wishes.” She continued, “I am okay with never speaking to her again and she’s okay with it. So we should just let it be. I feel like at the end of the day you were trying to make us be friends.”
Jackie went on to apologize to Malaysia, “I’m guilty of that and I’m sorry. When I say be friends it ain’t necessarily be buddy ol’ pals but we gotta exist together.”
Malaysia added, “No BS aside. At this point I won’t be coming around your group of friends anymore, the band that you put it together.” She continued, “Definitely not coming around that group of people. Permanently. I just don’t care to be around people that giving me bad vibes. I guess what I’m trying to say is that my mental health is worth way more.”
The former basketball wife joined the show in 2011, on their spin-off Basketball Wives LA. During her confessional, she explained more about her decision to leave the show.
“I enjoy doing Basketball Wives. It’s been 10 years but at a point you have to realize and say ‘I love a baby that don’t love me back.’ So I have to walk away from this group and this show.”
However, she also said that she isn’t sure what the future holds when asked about walking away from the show a final goodbye. She added, “What I do know is I don’t care how much of a dollar amount is behind it, you have to stand up for yourself.”
