A man who has threatened to blow up Tyler Perry’s Studios in Georgia has been arrested.
According to reports, the suspect Coles Arrasheed was arrested for making terroristic threats against the studio.
On May 13th, Arrasheed allegedly called the studio and demanded to speak with Tyler Perry. He quickly became upset when he was told that Perry was unable to speak with him.
After hanging up the phone, the receptionist blocked the number but later found out that the man left a voice message stating that he was going to “blow the place to the high heavens.”
Coles Arrashaeed was arrested and charged with a felony. He was later released on a $5000 bond.
Tyler Perry Studios opened in 2019 and it is the first major film production company that is owned by a Black person. This studio has only been the place where his films and shows were shot but it has hosted productions for other major motion pictures.
Tyler Perry has not made a statement about this incident yet.
