On February 4, 2025, Marcus Jordan, 34, son of NBA legend Michael Jordan, was arrested in Maitland, Florida. He faces charges of driving under the influence (DUI), cocaine possession, and resisting arrest. Newly released body camera footage from the Maitland Police Department provides insight into the incident.

Marcuse Jordan Incident Details

Officers discovered Jordan’s blue Lamborghini SUV stuck on railroad tracks around 1:14 a.m. An officer warned, “A train was coming by,” urging Jordan to exit the vehicle. Jordan responded, “I know, that’s why I’m trying to get the f— out of here.” He explained he “got discombobulated” after making a wrong turn, leading to the vehicle becoming stuck.

During the encounter, Jordan identified himself, stating, “I’m Marcus Jordan. I’m Michael Jordan’s son. I’m not doing anything wrong. I’m just trying to get home. And I made a wrong turn. Okay?” He emphasized, “The last thing I wanted to do is put my car on the tracks, obviously, it’s a $330,000 car. Why would I want to be on the tracks?”

When questioned about alcohol consumption, Jordan admitted to having “a little bit” to drink but claimed it was “under the legal limit.” Officers observed his eyes were “bloodshot and glassy” and noted he appeared “confused where he was located.” An officer detected “an odor of an alcoholic beverage… getting stronger as he spoke.” Jordan attempted field sobriety tests but was unable to complete them. He rated his sobriety as a “3” on a scale from 0 to 10, with 0 being sober. Upon being handcuffed, Jordan disagreed with the officers’ assessment, stating, “I disagree with that, sir, but whatever you say… I hear you, but I disagree.”

After his arrest, officers found a small plastic bag containing a white substance in Jordan’s pocket. The substance tested positive for cocaine. Jordan was booked into the Orange County Jail with bond set at $4,000.

This incident adds to Jordan’s legal troubles, following a 2012 arrest for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He has not yet commented on the recent charges.
