Mariah Carey has officially set the release date for her sixteenth studio album. The long-awaited record, Here for It All, will arrive on September 26, 2025, under her new deal with Gamma.

A New Chapter

Carey shared the news via Instagram on July 21, teasing the album’s title and cover art in a sleek monochrome video clip. In it, she’s strutting in black heels as the title track’s hook plays. A caption confirmed the September 26 release date.

This marks her first album since 2018’s Caution and the first under her multi-album agreement with Gamma, a media company founded by former Apple executive Larry Jackson.

Early Singles & Production Team

The lead single, “Type Dangerous,” dropped on June 6, 2025. The track blends hip‑hop soul with a classic Eric B. & Rakim sample. Carey co-wrote and co‑produced it with .Paak, Daniel Moore II, and others.

In a recent Apple Music interview, she confirmed,

“It’s finished. … We got some Mariah ballads.”
Carey added the album would feature 11–12 tracks, balancing upbeat tunes and heartfelt ballads.

A second teaser single, “Sugar Sweet,” was previewed mid‑July. In one clip, Carey is seen baking while singing:

“I’ma keep it nice, Imma keep it sweet…”

Returning Collaborators

Longtime collaborator L.A. Reid returns as executive producer. The duo previously worked together on The Emancipation of Mimi (2005) and Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel (2009). In a Forbes interview, Carey praised Reid as a guiding force in shaping her creative vision.

She also hinted at personal growth influencing the album,

“There’s a lot of who I am today, and the last 10 years, the last 14 years [in it],”
referring to her life as a mother and artist.

Looking Ahead

With Here for It All, Carey embarks on a bold new phase of her career. She’s swapped major labels for a deal that gives her more creative control. Fans can expect a blend of powerful ballads and fierce vocals.

No full tour is planned yet. But she’ll appear at select summer events, including the Brighton Pride festival in the UK and special heritage shows.
