Magical! 14-year-old Marsai Martin, is set to become the youngest executive producer in history! We know Marsai from shows such as ‘Black-Ish,’ and as of recent, the trailer to her new movie ‘Little’ was just released. Little is starring Hollywood all-stars such as, Regina Hall, Issa Rae and more.
When the movie hits theaters in April, that’s when Martin will officially be named the youngest executive producer, ever! Martin confirms that the movie was inspired by Tom Hank’s 1988 classic Big. “It was one of my most favorite films growing up,” she said. “After the [season one] finale of Black-ish, we told Kenya Barris about it, and he called Will [Packer] and said: ‘Yo, you know the girl who plays Diane on Black-ish? She has this dope idea!”
Seemingly, the rest was history. This is a great accomplishment. Congratulations, Marsai!
So happy to finally be able to share the trailer, so proud of the things accomplished since we started this and eternally grateful to you guys for listening when others didn’t take us seriously ♥️ @TracyYOliver https://t.co/gFvElJrgGu
