Mary J. Blige is gifting her fans a birthday present on her birthday with a new music video.
The Queen of Hip Hop Soul released the visual for “Gone Forever”, a track from 2022’s Grammy-nominated album Good Morning Gorgeous. In the three minute video, Blige pulls up to the club with Bronx native, Remy Ma. Producer DJ Khaled is shown in between scenes, shouting his favorite quote, “Another one.”
True to the Blige brand, several fashion moments appear in the video. In between club shots, Blige rocks a Louis Vuitton beret and bomber jacket. She can also be seen wearing silver bamboo earrings from her Sister Love jewelry line. Both Blige and Remy Ma give viewers a luxury fur coat and boot look throughout the video.
The “Gone Forever” visual arrives amid a string of successes for the Whats the 411? singer. Blige, 53 today, reached a historic run on the R&B charts with her latest #1 hit “Still Believe in Love.” The Power actress is also the recipient for this year’s Urban One Honors.
