Mary J. Blige, the Grammy-winning “Queen of Hip-Hop Soul,” unveiled plans Monday for her first-ever Las Vegas residency. The announced run at Park MGM marks a major milestone in the singer’s decades-long career.

Shows are scheduled for May 1, 2, 6, 8 and 9, with a second run July 10, 11, 15, 17 and 18. All performances begin at 8 p.m. local time.

Blige said the residency is long overdue. “I’ve been so excited to announce this Vegas residency,” she said in a statement. “Creating a show like this has been something I’ve always wanted to do.”

She added that the residency is meant to bring fans together. “It’s a chance to get my fans together from all over — different cities, states, and countries — to experience something together,” Blige said. “My Life, My Story will be just that — with some surprises for my fans that have been there through it all.”

Tickets go on sale Jan. 16 at 10 a.m. Pacific with pre-sale access beginning Jan. 14. Fans are expected to snap up seats quickly following the announcement.

Blige’s residency adds to a growing trend of top artists choosing Vegas as a destination for extended concert engagements. Past residents have included artists such as Adele and Jennifer Lopez, drawing global audiences to the city’s entertainment hub.

Blige has long been heralded for her influence on R&B and hip-hop soul. Her career includes multiple Grammy Awards, chart-topping albums and memorable live performances. She has also toured extensively, including her 2025 “For My Fans Tour,” which brought her to venues across North America.

Blige has hinted that her residency might include nods to her storied catalog. Those classics — from early hits such as “Real Love” to later anthems — could play a central role in the show’s narrative arc.
