Master P Says Final Show Will Be At Essence Fest 2025

Master P is ready to hang up his rap career, and he will be doing it in his hometown. 

The rapper announced that his final performance will take place at the 2025 Essence Festival this July in his hometown of New Orleans. Master P, whose real name is Percy Miller, said in a recent interview confirming his final performance scheduled for July 6, “Say goodbye to Master P and hello to Coach P.”  The show is reported to be a No Limit reunion and a tribute to the city that raised him. 

Miller was raised in Calliope Projects in New Orleans where he credited his father for passing down the grind, discipline, and lessons that helped raise him which helped him climb in the music industry in the 1990s. 

During his career, he has sold over 100 million records as well as paved a way for artists to come behind him. His record label, No Limit, expanded to become more than just a record label, it became a staple in the community. He helped other artists on how they could own their masters, and more. 

After giving back to his community, Master P was named the official entertainment ambassador for New Orleans and he launched the NOLA Walk of Fame. The rapper’s new focus is helping out the kids of the community obtain college degrees. 

“Helping these kids get college degrees and stay off the streets, that’s my purpose,” he said.
