Mathew Knowles lauded his daughter, global music icon Beyoncé Knowles‑Carter, after Forbes confirmed she officially became a billionaire, making her the fifth musician in history to reach the prestigious financial milestone.
In an emotional Instagram post Monday, the businessman and former Destiny’s Child manager wrote, “I am so very proud of my daughter. She worked hard and it paid off!”
Forbes reported that Beyoncé’s sweeping financial success stems from a combination of record‑breaking tours, business ventures and ownership of her music catalog.
Beyoncé now joins an elite group of billionaire musicians that includes her husband, Jay‑Z, as well as Taylor Swift, Rihanna and Bruce Springsteen.
A Career of Milestones
Beyoncé’s path to billionaire status spans more than two decades. She first gained fame as lead singer of Destiny’s Child before launching a solo career that turned her into a cultural and financial powerhouse.
Her 2023 Renaissance World Tour grossed nearly $600 million, helping solidify her position as one of the world’s top‑earning performers.
In 2024, the singer released Cowboy Carter, a country‑inspired album that pushed her into new musical territory. The tour supporting that album became the highest‑grossing concert tour of 2025, according to industry reports.
“For the Cowboy Carter Tour alone, more than 350 crew members and eight 747 cargo planes were needed to support the shows,” Forbes noted, highlighting the scale of the production and its financial impact.
Beyond live performance, Beyoncé controls her career through her company, Parkwood Entertainment, which produces her music, concerts and media projects.
Beyoncé’s business savvy also expanded her portfolio. She founded Parkwood in 2010 and later launched consumer brands including hair care label Cécred and SirDavis whiskey.
Her ventures and touring revenue, combined with catalog ownership and sponsorship deals, helped push her net worth past $1 billion, according to Forbes.
Mathew Knowles, speaking as a proud father, emphasized the work behind the achievement. “She worked hard and it paid off,” he said, reflecting widespread admiration for his daughter’s career.
Industry analysts note that while Beyoncé’s music remains the primary wealth driver, her holistic control of production and branding has set a new model for artist independence.
