When it comes to Michael B. Jordan’s latest movie “Without Remorse”, he is giving his co-star, Lauren London all of the praise and credit to help him get through it.
Jordan stated that because of London’s transparency on grief he was able to enhance his acting skills in the movie. During an appearance on the “Jemele Hill is Unbothered” podcast, the actor revealed that he was nervous to tackle the subject matter of the film. He believed that it would be too much to ask London for help, who is still going through her own grief.
“She was really transparent about [her grief experience], and I was extremely grateful for that. She’s very talented and has so much to give.”
The film premiered on Prime Video on April 30th and it is set on the life of John Clark, a US Navy SEAL whose pregnant wife, played by London, is murdered, which sent him looking for answers and revenge.
Jordan also revealed that the film was very emotional for London who has also experienced the same loss as the main character in the film. In 2019, London lost her long-time boyfriend, rapper Nipsey Hussle who was shot to death in California.
Jordan also revealed that the conversation he had with London was extensive but also motivational. “Her sharing her experience with me and having pretty lengthy conversations about grief and suffering and what that looks and feels like really helped me get to a certain place as a character.”
“Without Remorse” is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
