Actor Michael B. Jordan is ready for a junior and a wife.

Jordan dropped the update in a conversation with David Letterman for the upcoming season of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman.

Shot in London, the former People’s “Sexiest Man Alive” opened up to Letterman over a casual game of darts about his personal life outside of filmmaking and how he’s slowly working toward starting a family of his own.

But he added how his jam-packed directorial schedule doesn’t allow for free time . The director, who’s starred in Fruitvale Station, the Creed films, and Black Panther, made his directorial debut with Creed III.

“My life is boring,” Jordan jokingly. Letterman quipped, “You think it’s boring, you ought to follow me around.”

Jordan pivot into how he wants to transition into a father. “I want to start out small. I want a kid. I want children. I want to get, yeah… I want children, but I figure I got to start off with like plants and dogs.”

He continues, “If I can take care of a plant, I can take care of the dog. If the dog’s cool, then I have a shot.”

The Creed star told GQ for their March cover story that he could very well have a kid at his current age, 38. However, he doesn’t want to rush the process because he wants to be “the best dad” possible.

“And that is my perspective on raising [my stop date] a little bit,” Jordan told the outlet. “Just because I’m competitive, and I know I would want to be the best dad. But right now, I’m trying to do my best at this part [of my life] as well.”

Rumors swirled earlier this year that the Sinners star might have dated Taylor Russell, though neither has confirmed the relationship. Jordan publicly dated Lori Harvey from early 2021 to mid-2022.
