Michael Madsen has died at 67 years old. The “Kill Bill” actor was reportedly in good health days before his shocking passing.
Madsen’s friend, Dougie Smith, said that the star had a routine hospital visit at UCLA last week to get his rotator cuff checked out, revealing that he was having complications after falling from a horse a few years ago. The actor was allegedly thinking about getting surgery but decided to push it back due to his upcoming schedule.
The actor also suffered from a small brain bleed from a fall and got a PET scan to make sure that everything was good. Other than that, Madsen was given the all-clear from his doctors. “He looked like he had been in the best health he had been in all year,” Smith said.
Smith said that he was the one who found Madsen deceased on Thursday morning. He said that he didn’t hear from his friend at all on Wednesday, so he decided to visit him and found him in his bed at 8:30 am. Dougie Smith said he last spoke to Michael Madsen on Tuesday and described that he sounded “great” and that he was looking forward to attending Nashville Comic-Con.
As of now, Michael Madsen’s death is being treated as natural causes. Before his death, Madsen was getting ready to release a new book called “Tears For My Father: Outlaw Thoughts and Poems.”
